Garbage Disposal

There are strict rules on how to dispose of garbage because the growing amount of garbage is a serious environmental problem in Japan. In order to help reduce air pollution and to promote garbage recycling, please observe the following rules.

※Each municipality uses specific garbage bags. Please use the specified bags for your town.
※There are different regulations on garbage separation in each municipality. Please check the regulations in your municipality, and separate your garbage accordingly.
※Dispose of garbage on the specified days at the specified garbage stations.

Your garbage will not be collected if you do not follow these regulations, and it will cause trouble for your neighbors. Please make sure to follow the rules.
