President Takanori Ueda welcomed a delegation from Xi’an University of Technology headed by the Advisor to the President, Prof. ZhaoKang, 4 professors and 8 graduate students on June 17, 2019. The two universities concluded academic agreement in September, 1985 to promote faculty and student exchange in September, 1985. It is the 70th anniversary for Xi’an University of Technology this year.
President Ueda mentioned “We have third longest concord with Xi’an University of Technology, and we would like to continue this relationship.”, and Prof. Zhao Kang answered “We concluded first agreement with University of Fukui. Many students studies abroad, and hundreds of teachers had experience studying at UF. We are also happy to deepen this exchanges.”
After that, the delegation attended Japan-China Bilateral Symposium on Engineering held on Bunkyo campus. It started with welcome speech from the Dean, Graduate Schoolof Engineering, Prof. Kazutoshi Fukui. Afterwords, Prof. Yu Zhong of Xi’an University of Technology gave the invited lecture titled “Synthesis and antibacterial properties of Co-MOFs”.
They will have 14 oral presentation and 12 poster sessions in this symposium, and also experience some Japanese cultures in Fukui during their stay until June 21.
