University of Fukui and JICA Hokuriku singed a memorandum of understanding

On March 22nd, we exchanged a memorandum of understanding with the Japan International Cooperation Agency Hokuriku Center with the aim of contributing our academic research and education to international cooperation projects.
“The project for improving the water and health environment in Paigasa region of Bangladesh”, which has been adopted by JICA, has collaborated with the School of Engineering and the School of Medicine to develop projects for sanitation and desalination of drinking water. In addition, 34 graduated students from University of Fukui are also active as JOCV members.
The School of Global Community and Studies, which was established in 2016, bears the same “international” status as the organization, and is engaged in human resource development that can be explored to solve the problems faced by the region and the international community. In this respect, there are many points that lead to the organization’s vision, and we signed a memorandum of cooperation for the purpose of promoting further cooperation in the future.
