タイ保健省医療局 中央労災病院のウタイ・タンスラルク院長とアダル・バンドフクル産業環境医学センター長が7月8日から2日間の日程で本学を訪れました。

タイ国内では、医師を養成している6大学が連携し、医師養成のための病院を新しく建設する予定で、本学医学部環境保健学領域　日下 幸則教授を通じて訪問が実現しました。

一行は、始めに眞弓 光文 学長、岩井 善郎 研究・国際担当理事を表敬訪問、タイでの医師養成などについて意見交換し、眞弓学長は「本学から、タイにはたくさん学生が訪問しています。タイからも学びに来てほしい」と話しました。　この後、本学附属国際原子力研究所を訪問し、安濃田 良成所長と懇談後、安田仲宏教授がレクチャーを行いました。

9日には山口明夫医学部長と和田 有司病院長を訪ね、地域医療高度化教育研究センターの小淵 岳恒特命講師の案内で救急部、メディカルシミュレーションセンターを視察しました。タンスラルク院長は「病院を建設する前に、視察することができ、大変参考になった。今後の病院づくりに活かしたい」と話しました。

Dr. Utahi Tanslaruk, Director of Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Department of Health, Thai Ministry of Public Health, and Dr. Adul Bandhukul, Director of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Center, visited the University of Fukui for two days from July 8, 2015.

In Thailand, six universities committed to medical education are trying together to found a new hospital intended to train medical doctors. This courtesy call by two directors was realized through Dr. Yukinori Kusaka of the UF Faculty of Medical Sciences.

The guests met with Dr. Mitsufumi Mayumi, President of the University of Fukui, and Dr. Yoshiro Iwai, Executive Vice President, and they exchanged opinions, especially with regard to medical education in Thailand. President Mayumi said, “Not a few of our students have visited Thailand, and I hope many Thai students will come and study at our university.”

The guests then made a call at the Research Institute of Nuclear Engineering of the University and had a talk with Dr. Anoda Yoshinari, Director of the Institute. After the meeting, Professor Nakahiro Yasuda gave them a lecture.

Next day, the guests met with Dr. Akio Yamaguchi, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, and Dr. Yuji Wada, Director of the University of Fukui Hospital. Dr. Kobuchi Taketsune led a tour for them of the ER and the Medical Simulation Center.

Dr. Utahi Tanslaruk commented, “Visiting the UF was very informative and useful for us. We’d like to make use of this experience for making a new hospital.”
